There will be three events in October 2023: one in the south of England, one in the Midlands and one in the north of England.
Wednesday 18th October 2023: Harris Academy Sutton, Surrey, SM2 5RD. This school is only 20 minutes drive from Junction 8 of the M25. There's plenty of parking available on site. From Sutton station (National Rail: Victoria, London Bridge and St Pancras/Blackfriars) it's a 20 minute walk or a short taxi/bus ride. Thursday 19th October 2023: Worcester Racecourse, Grand Stand Road, Worcester WR1 3EJ. Our beautiful Midlands venue is easily accessible by road (Junction 6 on the M5) or train (it's a ten minute walk from Worcester Foregate Street Station). There's plenty of parking on site. Friday 20th October 2023: Bolton Science and Technology Centre, Minerva Rd, Farnworth, Bolton BL4 0HA. This venue is located between Mount St Joseph School and Royal Bolton Hospital. This is accessible by car from the M61 Junction 4. If you're coming by train, it's a 30 minute walk or a short taxi ride from Bolton Station. |

Craig Barton
Craig Barton loves teaching, doing, speaking and thinking about mathematics. He taught maths in secondary schools for 15 years, and was TES Maths Adviser for 10 years. He is now the Head of Education at Eedi. Craig is the author of three best-selling books: “How I wish I’d taught maths”, "Reflect, Expect, Check, Explain" and "Tips for Teachers", the host of the Mr Barton Maths podcast and the Tips for Teachers podcast, and the creator of far too many websites, including mrbartonmaths.com, diagnosticquestions.com, variationtheory.com, ssddproblems.com, dqaday.com and mathsvenns.com. In 2020 he was appointed as Visiting Fellow at the Mathematics Education Centre at the University of Loughborough. Craig has been lucky enough to teach maths and work with teachers and students all over the world. His two proudest achievements are convincing Kate to marry him (and stay married), and being the father to our wonderful boys, Isaac and Jacob. @mrbartonmaths

Jo Morgan
Jo is a Head of Maths at a comprehensive school in Greater London. She changed career to become a teacher in 2009 and since then has held various roles including Key Stage 5 Coordinator, Lead Practitioner, Maths Consultant and Assistant Principal. Jo writes the award-winning website resourceaholic.com where she shares ideas and resources for secondary mathematics with teachers from all over the world. She is also the author of "A Compendium of Mathematical Methods". Jo is a regular guest on Craig Barton's podcast, a member of the MEI Curriculum Committee, a Trustee of the Mathematical Association and a member of AQA's Expert Panel. She is a regular speaker at conferences and the writer of the popular Topics in Depth series which can be viewed on her YouTube Channel. Jo is an enthusiastic collector of old maths textbooks and mother to two daughters, Maddie and Hettie. @mathsjem

How many tickets are available?
There are 100 tickets for each event. When we last ran an in-person Marvellous Maths course in 2019, both events sold out. Book quickly to avoid disappointment! How do I book? You or your school/college can book your place directly using the links provided. If your school can't pay by card then they can send an invoice to [email protected] including the name of the delegate, the school name and address and any dietary or accessibility requirements. Will there be exhibitors?
